Elsa, Queen Elsa of Arendelle, or, infamously the Snow Queen.
Age
Born on the winter solstice, Elsa is a young, twenty two year old.
Alignment
It's difficult for Elsa to see the world in one light or another. It's difficult for any king or queen, really. When every decision carries so much weight, when every choice she makes can spell out doom for countless subjects, both far and wide. Doing the right thing, may not be the smart thing. Nor, the easy thing. But she only hopes that when the time comes, she can manage it. Regardless of what sort of lines are drawn out, or what sort of ties are broken.
Personality
Beautiful. Powerful. Dangerous. Cold. Lyrics to a song many of Arendelle's ice harvester know by heart. Of course, they are referring to ice. To the winter elements that they mine for resources. But those very same lyrics, couldn't paint the Snow Queen any more transparent. Elsa is indeed powerful, her magic matched by few. Her say, law of the land. She can be dangerous, if she allows her anger and frustration to guide her. And she can most certainly be cold. Calculating, and distant, even to those she cares for the most. Still, despite those less than attractive qualities, she is beautiful. Pure of heart. Her desire to help people, to protect them even from herself, more powerful than anything she could possibly conjure. Thirteen years of self-imposed isolation, a testament to her humble, kind, and compassionate nature. Only recently has she begun to balance her inner turmoil, only recently has she begun to loosen up and look for the brighter side of life. It doesn't come easy, it never has. But if she's ever to become the elder sister she wants Anna to be proud of, she'll have to learn.
Fears
Everyone is afraid. Everyone has fear. Everyone can fall to these terrors, if courage can't be found. What is Elsa's one true fear? Herself, mostly. What she's capable of. It's not hard to blame her. She brought her little sister inches from death, at the mere age of eight. If she could hurt someone she loved so dearly then, what was to stop her from finishing the job? It was this sort of thinking, that drove her into isolation. She cared too much for her family, for her people. She understood so little about herself, about what brought her curse to the surface. It was only natural, to be terrified. Edged on by parents who despite their best efforts, couldn't raise her in the ways she needed, Elsa lives every day as a nightmare. Struggling to find some kind of anchor to her ever growing power. Only after being crowned Queen, only after sobbing into her sister's frozen corpse, does she come to the realization. Love will thaw. As long as she can control her fear, she can control her future.
Abilities
Ancient troll prophecy foretold of a coming ruler. One that would curse the lands with an unending winter, one that carried within them, a frozen heart. Elsa couldn't be bothered with such things as a child. She was too busy experimenting with magic far beyond the reaches of even the most wise and competent of magicians. She relished in the creation of snowmen, in the snowfall she willed into being. She learned the art of figure skating, mastered the sled. Winter was her element, and she loved the effect it had on her sister. Anna was mesmerized. And through her gifts, she was able to bond with her, staying up into the late hours of the night, "doing the magic". The years progressed, and though contact with her better half was cut off, her power continued to grow. Continued to develop in ways she couldn't imagine possible. Was she to fulfill the prophecy? For a brief stint following her coronation, it seemed that she was indeed this ruler with a frozen heart. Her lands trapped in an unending winter. However, it wasn't to last. She found the control necessary for her powers to flourish, and with the return of summer, so returned the innate curiosity she held over her gifts. She could create life. She could build fortress of solitude within a simple matter of moments. She could fashion herself gowns of ice. Elsa is determined to tap into her full potential.
